車站旁隱密的巷子內，進入另外一個時空，70年代的車站辦公室
走上舊式鑲嵌的銅條樓梯，隨著每日旅行的重量，逐漸露出光澤，展現出原有的風華，銅條凹陷的弧度，也些許透漏出了時間印記，當年老師傅手工整齊的磨石子地板，也靜靜地保留在這個時光中，珍貴的台灣檜木窗框，理所當然的保留下來，開放的走廊空間，當時站務員們為了每天來往的旅人，走著，如今，背包的精神重新改變它對歷史的意義，讓我們與火車站比臨而居，坐在窗邊喝杯咖啡，看著旅客熙來擾嚷，昭和11年的日式火車站佇立窗外。
Staying in Old Man Captain is a way to experience the old Taiwanese architecture.
In the hidden alley next to the station, you will find yourself in another time and space surrounded by a bus office from the 1970s.
Walk on the old-style inlaid copper staircase. With the weight of daily travelling peoples, the staircase gradually started to reveal its lustre, showing its original beauty. The curvature of the copper strip revealed the marks left by time. The old craftsman’s handmade terrazzo floor is also quietly kept in this time. The window frame made of precious Taiwan red cedar is, without question, preserved. Back then, the station clerks walked back and forth on the open corridor with sacks and sacks of paper, but now, the spirit of backpack travelling has changed the meaning this place has for history.
Let us live with the train station, find a morning to sit by the window and have a cup of coffee, watch the passengers come and go, the Japanese railway station from the Showa era stands outside the window as century flows.
